Barnes-Homer is level with team-mate Brian Smikle on six goals this season
Kidderminster Harriers strengthened their play-off claims by hanging on for their second away win of the season.
Matty Barnes-Homer hit the only goal of the game (his sixth of the season) a minute after the break when he turned to fire into the bottom right corner.
Robbie Matthews wasted a superb chance to extend the lead when he blazed over from six yards.
Lewis Taylor missed an equally good opening for the hosts and Alan Inns also squandered a late headed chance.
But Kidderminster survived to secure their second win in a week and leapfrog three places to sixth spot in the Blue Square Premier table.
They now overtake the Dons, who started the day in fourth.
AFC Wimbledon: Pullen, Hatton, Inns, Johnson, Hussey, Taylor (Duncan 68), Gregory, Adjei (Conroy 68), Moore, Kedwell, Montague (Main 60). Subs Not Used: Brown, Conroy.
