Chester 0-1 Stevenage

Michael Bostwick
Bostwick's winner was his second league goal of the season

Stevenage climbed up to second in the Blue Square Premier with a deserved victory over bottom club Chester.

Midfielder Michael Bostwick struck the only goal of the game after just seven minutes, superbly volleying home Mitchell Cole's left-wing cross.

Charlie Griffin could have made it two just before the break only for his header to hit the post.

At the other end Nick Chadwick had a header easily saved by Chris Day but Chester struggled to create chances.
