Cambridge United 2-0 Wrexham

Cambridge went fourth in the table with a comfortable win over Wrexham, who have gone three games without a goal.

Wayne Hatswell drilled home a left-foot free-kick into the bottom corner for the first after Mansour Assoumani had fouled Chris Holroyd 25 yards out.

Keeper Chris Maxwell kept the deficit to one at the break, saving a vicious free-kick from Robbie Willmott.

But, with 10 minutes left, Willmott cut inside a hapless Curtis Obeng for a simple close-range finish.

Wrexham manager Dean Saunders:
"No complaints about the result, we didn't do enough when we had the ball, although we could have scored four in the first half if we'd put our chances away.

"The first goal was a deflection off the end of the wall - I still wondered how it went in.

"We weren't communicating with each other as well as we should have, but we played a lot better in the second half.

"The second goal was a deflection, although he should never have got to where he got to.

"I'm really disappointed with the way we played - we're better than that."
