Wrexham 0-0 Barrow

Barrow boss David Bayliss was sent to the stand for persistent dissent as his side limped to a dire goalless Blue Square Premier draw at Wrexham.

The visiting manager getting sent off by referee Rob Madley was the highlight of an otherwise forgettable bore draw.

Wes Baynes and Gareth Taylor went close with long-range shots before Dragons striker Baynes scuffed a chance wide from six yards after a promising run.

Ashley Westwood then had a header cleared off the line by Robin Hulbert.

Wrexham manager Dean Saunders said:
"I'm disappointed because you want to win at home and put on a show for the fans. We played excellently in the opening half-an-hour. We made some chances but didn't score them.

"Then they got a foothold in the game and it gave them hope that they could hang on. We gave the ball away too much and I was disappointed that we only pressurised their goalkeeper once in the second-half.

"We didn't get enough balls into the box for big Gareth Taylor and overall we didn't play well enough in the second half."
