Rushden & Diamonds 1-1 Cambridge

Wayne Hatswell
Hatswell spent two seasons at Nene Park before joining Cambridge

Defender Wayne Hatswell scored against his former club to earn Cambridge a point at Rushden and Diamonds.

Rushden centre-back Jamie Stuart headed a clear first-half chance wide but made amends by volleying home Lee Tomlin's cross from the edge of the box.

But their lead lasted barely five minutes before Hatswell headed in Jai Reason's free kick.

Cambridge went closest to a winner but substitute Mark Beesley's effort was blocked by Curtis Osano.
