Richard Brodie struck twice as York extended their unbeaten run to three games with victory over Histon.
Brodie almost opened the scoring within three minutes but Joe Welch parried his shot, however he soon found the target when he headed home Ben Purkiss' cross.
York doubled their advantage through Adam Smith's right-footed effort before Brodie completed the home scoring from the penalty spot after Pope fouled him.
Danny Wright headed home a consolation from Gareth Gwillim's cross.
