Luton 0-0 Chester

Chris Lynch
Centre-half Chris Lynch helped keep a clean sheet on his Chester debut

Chester earned their first point in the Blue Square Premier as they recorded a first clean sheet since April.

Luton had picked up 10 points out of a possible 12 from their first four matches, while the visitors had conceded eight goals in two games.

But Chester looked the more likely to score, Nick Chadwick forcing two saves from Hatters keeper Mark Tyler, as well as hitting the bar with a header.

Unhappy Hatters fans booed their team off at the final whistle.
