Kyle Perry scored twice on his debut as Mansfield crushed Crawley in a fiery and controversial opening-day contest.
Perry's deflected shot looped home to make it 1-0 and Rob Duffy ran on to a fine pass by Craig Armstrong to slot in number two at the second attempt.
The Stags made it 3-0 by the interval when, with the visitors confidently appealing for offside, Perry charged through to fire the ball in.
Substitute Jake Speight's close-range shot sealed the win after the break.
