Maidenhead sign three new players

Blue Square South

Maidenhead United have signed three new players for their assault on next season's Blue Square South division.

Goalkeeper Chris Tardif has arrived from Bognor Regis Town, with midfielder Bradley Quamina and forward Staforde Palmer also checking in.

Quamina joins from Woking and will help fill the void left by Ben Surrey and ex-club captain Ashley Nicholls.

Palmer was joint top scorer for Hayes & Yeading United last season and arrives on a three-month loan deal.

Maidenhead United manager Johnson Hippolyte welcomed back former Magpie Tardif, who returns to York Road to replace Shane Gore.

"Chris is a good signing for us," Hippolyte said. "I spoke to him and he had a few options - many paying more money than us.

"But he knows what we're all about and wanted to come here."

On 23-year-old Quamina, Hippolyte added: "He is a good young lad who I've known for a while.

"He's a Conference-level footballer and brings a lot of energy and good tackling.

"With losing Surey and Nicholls we needed some experience in the middle."

Hippolyte is also pleased to have Palmer on board: "He's one I've liked for a while.

"He's a proven scorer in our league. He's a local lad and is good for us."

Hippoylte also confirmed that Mustafa Tiryaki would be leaving following an offer from two other clubs.
