Stevenage 3-1 Kidderminster

Lee Boylan
Boylan's brace put Stevenage into the Blue Square Premier play-off places

Stevenage Borough leapfrogged Kidderminster Harriers into the Blue Square Premier play-off places with a 3-1 win at Broadhall Way.

Borough took the lead on four minutes through Steve Morison's low shot from inside the area.

Justin Richards levelled for Harriers on the stroke of half-time, firing home from Dean Bennett's through-ball.

But a second-half brace from Lee Boylan gave the home side the points, knocking Harriers out of the top five.

Boylan got his first just three minutes after the break, finding the net with a spectacular 30-yard shot, and the former Cambridge striker followed it up by converting Mitchell Cole's cross on 65 minutes.

The result means Kidderminster, who suffered their first defeat in 14 matches, need to beat Kettering and hope either Torquay or Stevenage only secure a point in their final games.

Kidderminster manager Mark Yates told BBC Hereford & Worcester:

"We got beaten fair and square today as we weren't at our best while Stevenage were on full throttle and they are a very good side.

"We're disappointed but I said there would be twists and turns and we are not out of anything yet.

"We've got a big game on Sunday, but so have others and we're still in there fighting."
