Jeffrey to add to Banbury squad

Jeffrey has experience already in the Southern League

New Banbury United boss Billy Jeffrey intends to strengthen his squad ahead of Saturday's Southern League Premier Clash against Tiverton.

Jeffrey guided the Puritans to a victory over Stourbridge on Tuesday, but wants fresh faces to bolster their relegation survival bid.

"We haven't got a lot of back-up there," Jeffrey told BBC Oxford.

"There are youngsters who have been doing really well but we probably need a striker and another midfield player."

He added: "I must admit when I watched them on Saturday I thought we needed more, but looking at them there is still a lot of ability here at Banbury."
