Redditch United's home game with Harrogate Town was called off after a power failure meant that the Valley Stadium floodlights could not be used.
The game was at first delayed before the ref finally called it off half an hour after the scheduled kick-off time.
"At this level you're talking about players who have probably had to finish work early to make the long trip," Town boss Neil Aspin told BBC Radio York.
"In the scheme of things in life it's not a disaster but it's disappointing."
No new date has been announced for the rearranged game.
"We've just got to come back and do exactly the same thing again," said Aspin.
"There's nothing we can do. You can't play without the floodlights being in working condition.
"The referee, as always, his duty has got to be the safety of the players.
"If you're not fully visible and when the ball's in the air you can easily lose sight of it, and it's not suitable to play."
