Stevenage 1-2 Wrexham

Marc William's 81st-minute deflected effort got Wrexham back to winning ways at Stevenage.

Jefferson Louis had put the Dragons ahead after 56 minutes firing home Jon Brown's right-hand cross.

Callum Willock levelled for Stevenage with a superb 25-yard strike eight minutes later, but Williams secured an unlikely win.

The home side had earlier hit the bar through Anthony Thomas and Peter Vincenti was denied by Darren Ward.

Wrexham manager Dean Saunders:
"I thought the effort was outstanding. I thought we were terrible first half, we never played or created any chances.

"Second half we had to stay in the game. I never felt comfortable all afternoon.

"Today we won the game and I think they will probably feel unlucky."

Stevenage manager Graham Westley:

"This afternoon they put in a stirling, workmanlike performance and showed a lot of togetherness.

"I definitely felt we did enough to deserve something from the ninety minutes."
