Burton 2-0 Eastbourne

Nigel Clough's Burton side went top of the Blue Square Premier with a comfortable home win over Eastbourne.

Greg Pearson broke the deadlock for the home side early in the second half from the penalty spot after Darren Baker's foul on Shaun Harrad.

Chris Armstrong then headed home his first goal for the club since arriving on loan from Cheltenham from Michael Simpson's right-wing free-kick.

Eastbourne's Ashley Barnes twice went close for the away side.
