Gray is wary of Bury's direct style

Basingstoke manager Frank Gray says his side will take for nothing for granted when they face Bury Town in the FA Cup fourth qualifying round on Saturday.

The Suffolk side play two tiers beneath Basingstoke but, with a place in the first round of the FA Cup at stake, Gray expects a tough tie.

Gray told BBC Berkshire: "We certainly won't underestimate them.

"They knocked out Chelmsford in the last round but one, so that alone tells you that it's going to be a tough tie,"

Despite their lowly league status, Bury Town already have one significant cup scalp this year, in the form of Chelmsford - who lie 18 places above Basingstoke in the Blue Square South.

Gray is well aware of the dangers facing his side and says they must keep their focus.

Basingstoke are currently mired in the relegation zone of the Blue Square South, but after a good win away at Bromley last week, Gray feels his squad is in good shape.

"We're looking OK at the moment, I'm quite happy with the way things have gone over the last few weeks," he said.

"We've changed things round in the last few weeks personnel wise, we've brought a few players in on loan who have helped us and we've signed some other players."
