AFC Fylde go for nine unbeaten

Lancashire's Vodkat League clubs will be looking to end the month on a positive note as their quest for league points continues this weekend.

AFC Fylde extended their run of successive wins to eight in midweek to maintain their place at the top of the Premier Division table.

They travel to St Helens, who are just four points off the relegation places.

Striker Richie Allen will be looking to keep his goalscoring run going after grabbing nine in the last four games.

After a bright start Nelson have now gone six games without a victory, but will hoping to get back to winning ways when they visit bottom-of-the-table Atherton Collieries.

In-form Squires Gate have lost just once in their last eight games, although they face a tricky game at home to fourth-placed Congleton Town.

Ramsbottom United have lost just once away from home in the league so far and after a good win at Silsden on their last trip they will be looking for a repeat performance when they visit Alsager Town.

An attractive game is in prospect in Derbyshire where Colne, who have scored in every game bar one this season, travel to face fifth-placed Glossop North End.

Bacup Borough's only home defeat so far was on the opening day of the season and they play host to Runcorn Linnets, who knocked them out of the FA Vase a month ago.

In Division One, the game of the day sees Padiham, on a run of five successive wins, travelling to face third-placed Cheadle Town.

AFC Blackpool ended a run of three defeats by beating Eccleshall last weekend, and they make the long trip to face another Staffordshire side, Leek CSOB.

After a slow start Darwen have won their last two games and will go for a hat-trick when they entertain Norton United.
