Torquay extended their unbeaten run to nine games with victory at Ebbsfleet.

Both sides squandered chances to take the lead in a first half with Ebbsfleet enjoying more possession.

The visitors broke the deadlock when Tyrone Thompson crossed for Nicky Wroe, who saw his initial shot rebound off the post, but smashed in the rebound.

Wayne Carlisle doubled their lead after 54 minutes when he latched onto the end of another Thompson cross to coolly place the ball beyond Lance Cronin.
