Scarborough Athletic are top of the table after eight games
Scarborough Athletic manager Brian France says promotion is the target for the club in their second season in the Koolsport NCEL Division One.
Athletic's 2-0 win at Glasshoughton kept them top of the table.
France told BBC Radio York: "I'd be really disappointed if we don't go up this year, we're really going for it."
Athletic formed in June 2007 following the demise of Scarborough FC, and they finished fifth in their first season in the pyramid's bottom division.
"Last year... I didn't expect anything with the team we had, and now it's a different team and I'm obviously looking forward to strengthening it all the time," France added.
The crowd are worth a goal

"Scarborough has been a big club... at the moment I find that everybody, when they play another team they run out of steam, but against us they keep going and going but you've got to live with that," he added.
The upside of being a former Football League club is Athletic's scale of support.
A large proportion of the crowd of 231 at Glasshoughton on a rainy Tuesday evening were Scarborough fans.
"I've been at Goole, [North] Ferriby and there was nowhere near the backing that you get from these, they're fantastic. The crowd are worth a goal as well."
