Bacup continue FA Cup challenge

There is a mixture of cup and league action for Lancashire's Vodkat League clubs this weekend.

Six sides are involved in FA Cup action in the preliminary qualifying round, and the BBC Radio Lancashire featured game is between Bacup and St Helens.

AFC Fylde face a tricky looking game at home to Sheffield FC, from Unibond League Division One South.

Last weekend Padiham earned a goalless draw at Bootle in the league, and face them again on Saturday.

Squires Gate have had a mixed start to the season, and they face a tricky looking game down at fellow Premier League side Congleton Town.

Colne enjoyed an excellent 5-1 win at Runcorn last weekend, which will ensure that they travel with confidence to take on Formby.

Ramsbottom United are another side with an away tie, and they have a difficult looking game away to Unibond League side Mossley.

There is one game in the Vodkat League Premier Division, which sees Nelson looking to secure their second away win of the season at home to Atherton Collieries, who sit at the bottom of the table without a point from five games.

In the Vodkat League Division One, AFC Blackpool will be looking to pick up their first points of the season when they entertain Leek CSOB at The Mechanics.

Darwen take a trip to unfamiliar surroundings in search of their first win of the season, when they travel to league newcomers Irlam.
