Future looks brighter for Bognor

Bognor Regis

Mick Jenkins and Andy Awford are to become manager and assistant manager respectively at Blue Square South side Bognor Regis Town.

Jenkins played in defence for Bognor and has managed Havant and Waterlooville, while Awford made nearly 300 league appearances for Portsmouth.

The appointments come as a result of a takeover by a new club consortium that will pay off debts of around £150,000.

The investment means there will be sufficient funds to pay players again.
