Bognor Regis coach Darin Killpartrick expects a mass exodus of players after the club revealed it could no longer afford to pay them any wages.
Benefactor Jack Pearce has said the Blue Square South side, who recently lost manager Michael Birmingham, cannot sustain their current outgoings.
"The club can't keep relying on Jack," he told BBC Southern Counties Radio.
"Jack Pearce has taken this club way beyond where it should be. It's been a marvellous achievement."
I can't really see anyone staying around to play for nothing. I'd like to think they would - but let's be realistic.

Killpartrick revealed the sums needed to finance a Conference South level club are substantial: "The average club is paying out four to six thousand pounds a week to run."
He is also resigned to losing his current squad.
"I can't really see anyone staying around to play for nothing. I'd like to think they would - but let's be realistic.
"People have a living to make through football so I can't see anyone staying."
