Farnborough FC boss Francis Vines has signed goalkeeper Chris Tardif from Blue Square South side Maidenhead.

Tardif, 28, is Vines' third signing this week and follows Steve Laider and Michael Charles to Cherrywood Road.

Midfielder Laider, 24, and striker Charles, 21, both played for Farnborough Town before the club went into liquidation in 2007.

Tardif has signed a two-year deal and told his club's website: "I am excited to be given this opportunity."

Meanwhile, Farnborough have been told they will play in the British Gas Business Southern Premier League next season following their promotion from the Southern League Division One South & West.
