King's Rooks will be playing in the non-league top flight next term
Lewes have been promoted to Blue Square Premier after they clinched the Blue Square South title by beating Dorchester Town 2-0 on Saturday.
It completes a remarkable rise for the Sussex club, managed by Steve King, from Ryman Division Three to the non-league top flight in seven years.
Their Dripping Pan ground has also been approved for promotion after failing to earn the right grading in the past.
However, the defeat on Saturday also consigned Dorchester to relegation.
Lewes's title rivals Eastbourne Borough, who drew 1-1 at Newport County on Saturday, must now hope to join their East Sussex neighbours by winning the play-offs.
