Hessenthaler has won promotion in his first season at Dover
Dover Athletic chairman Jim Parmenter says the Whites will not rest on their laurels after clinching the Ryman League Division One South title.
Parmenter is confident of more progress under player-boss Andy Hessenthaler.
Parmenter told BBC Kent: "It was not that long ago that we were playing at the top of the Blue Square Premier and that is our immediate aim.
"After that we will see if the Football League is a possibility. In a five year plan that would be the ultimate aim."
Hessenthaler has led Dover to promotion to the Ryman League Premier Division - the third tier of non-league football - in his first season in charge.
And Parmenter feels that the former Gillingham manager is the right man to lead the Whites
"Andy made it his minimum goal to get out of the division when he took over," Parmenter added.
"Money doesn't necessarily buy you success in football, it's all about having the right chemistry, the right players, the right manager and the right team of people helping to run the club."
