Weymouth edged closer to safety with an entertaining but goalless draw against fellow-strugglers Farsley Celtic.

Jake Hyde had best effort in the first half, drilling wide from 25-yards in the 35th minute.

Weymouth's ex-Watford midfielder Paolo Vernazza attempted to up the tempo but his wayward shot in the 58th minute was the closes he came to a goal.

The hosts tried to force a late winner but Vernazza's corner was well cleared as Farsley held out for a draw.
