Aaron O'Connor's first-half strike gave Grays victory against Farsley Celtic.
The striker broke the deadlock from close range in the 36th minute with his third goal of the campaign from an outswinging Jamie Stuart corner.
Farsley were denied by a fine save from Ross Flitney as he kept out a Gareth Grant effort from 20 yards.
Injured Farsley defender Michael Pearson was replaced by Ryan Serrant in the 50th minute, but the visitors were unable to find an equaliser.
