Woking 3-0 Telford

Woking pulled off a stunning last-day escape to beat Telford at Kingfield and ensure they will play Conference football again next season.

The Cardinals broke their run of nine successive draws to clamber out of the danger zone at the very last opportunity.

Goals from Ben Townsend, Amos Foyewa and Scott Canham saved Glenn Cockerill`s side.

The hosts had Chris Collins sent off in the 74th minute after a clash with Telford`s David Brown, but that did not sour the taste of a sweet afternoon.

Woking were inches away from taking the lead in the 17th minute when Canham's shot from a free-kick rattled the woodwork.

They went ahead 12 minutes later when Townsend, from around the edge of the area, stroked home a Foyewa cross with his right foot.

In the 37th minute, Woking edged into a two-goal lead when Foyewa found the net with a right-foot effort.

By the 62nd minute it was all over as Canham turned home Raphael Nade`s cross from close range.
