Dag & Red 4-0 Gravesend
Dagenham secured their first win in three league games with a home victory over a Gravesend side reduced to 10 men for more than an hour. The visitors started the brighter and Daggers almost fell behind inside the opening 10 minutes, Jimmy Jackson producing a fine save from Tony Roberts. The home side struggled to get into the game but were awarded a penalty against the run of play in the 12th minute when Paul Wilkerson brought down Gary Fletcher. John McGrath stepped up and fired the ball into the bottom-right corner of the net. And the visitors' woe was compounded when Justin Skinner was sent off for a reckless challenge on Mark Janney after 21 minutes. Dagenham started the second period as they finished the first and made their numercial advantage tell when Mark Janney crossed from the right for Steve West to drill the ball home from six yards after 55 minutes. Substitute Mark Stein made it 3-0 with a 20-yard curler after 78 minutes and, nine minutes later, West grabbed his second goal to cement victory.
