Scarborough 4-1 Kettering

Two goals from new striker Lanre Fatokun helped Scarborough secure their first win of the season with a convincing home victory over Kettering.

Nigeria-born Fatokun struck after 37 and 47 minutes as Scarborough kept their rivals firmly at the wrong end of the table.

The visiting Poppies have not won in seven games now and their only cause for celebration was a goal from Craig Norman.

It was the first by a Kettering player this season, their only other strike coming courtesy of an own goal.

The home side led as early as the sixth minute when Mark Haran fouled Neil Campbell in the area and Paul Sheppherd tucked away the penalty.

Kettering were back level after 13 minutes when Norman's header beat goalkeeper Andy Woods, but former Royal Antwerp player Fatokun then stepped in to alter the course of the game.

He notched his first goal for the club on his first start when he got his head to Olivier Brassart's right-wing cross and doubled his tally with a right-foot shot.

Richard Dryden put the game beyond Carl Shutt's men with a headed fourth goal after 72 minutes from Sheppherd's cross.

Scarborough: Woods, Rennison, Dryden, Hotte, Sheppherd, Jordan, Patterson, Brassart, Campbell, Scott, Fatokun. Subs: Stoker, Rose, Pounder, Ormerod, Walker.

Kettering: Bowling, Hughes, Haran, Matthews, Norman, Piercewright, Butcher, Goodwin, Murray, Watkins, Murphy. Subs: Ward, Walsh, Perkins, Town, Shutt.

Referee: M Murphy (Coventry).
