Halifax 0-5 Northwich
Gregg Blundell scored a late hat-trick as Northwich went goal crazy in a 5-0 win against nine-man Halifax at the Shay. Town failed to recover from a miserable first-half performance which saw Mark Devlin open the scoring for the visitors with a superb 25-yard lob, and Steve Bushell sent off for violent conduct. Paul Stoneman's dismissal for his second bookable offence in the 55th minute prompted the home side to collapse. David McNiven extended the Vics' lead after 64 minutes with a curling shot, before Blundell took over, scoring with a low drive in the 74th minute and adding two more in injury-time.

Northwich: Gibson, Rioch, Woodward, Ingram, Royle, Garvey, Owen, Devlin, Norris, McNiven, Blundell. Subs: Taylor, Matthews, Sedgemore, McGuire, Quinn. Referee: D Storie (Leeds) |
