Chester 0-0 Scarborough

Scarborough wasted a host of chances to claim their first win of the season in the goalless draw with Chester at the Deva Stadium.

Paul Sheppherd and Nick Henry put shots wide when well placed for Russell Slade's side, who have drawn two and lost the other of their three matches so far.

Gareth Stoke and Keith Scott also should have done better but they failed to test Chester goalkeeper Wayne Brown, who has still to concede a goal in four games.

It needed a super save from Boro goalkeeper Andy Woods to deny James Kelly a late winner for Chester, who remain unbeaten.

Chester: Wayne Brown, Guyett, Ruffer, Hatswell, Michael Brown, Blackburn, Harkness, Kelly, McIntyre, Sugden, Twiss. Subs: Carden, Cameron, Beesley, Woodyatt, Brodie.

Scarborough: Woods, Rennison, Dryden, Hotte, Sheppherd, Stoker, Henry, Ormerod, Pounder, Scott, Rose. Subs: Blunt, Walker, Jordan, Campbell, Brassart.

Referee: C Harwood (Salford)
