Barnet 0-3 Chester

Chester took advantage of Barnet midfielder Leon Bell's dismissal at Underhill to maintain their unbeaten start to the season with a win.

Bell was dismissed for a bad foul on Kevin McIntyre 10 minutes into the second half and shown a straight red card.

Chester were already dominating the game and exploited their one-man advantage with Ryan Sugden's goal in the 67th minute.

Michael Twiss and Mark Beesley added late goals to rub salt into Barnet's wounds.

Chester were thwarted by Barnet goalkeeper Lee Harrison and some wayward finishing as they went unrewarded for their first-half efforts.

Twiss should have done better with a left-foot shot in the 33rd minute and Sugden was twice too high when he tried his luck with lobbed efforts late in the first half.

And Chester's attacking paid off when Sugden struck from six yards after Twiss' first effort had been parried by the goalkeeper.

Scott Guyett produced a penetrating pass from his own half for Twiss to run onto in the 87th minute and the midfielder buried the ball beyond Harrison into the corner of the net.

Seconds from full time, McIntyre's cross saw Beesley add the third goal from close range.

Chester: Wayne Brown, Hatswell, Guyett, Harkness, Woodyatt, Kelly, Blackburn, McIntyre, Cameron, Twiss, Sugden. Subs: Ruffer, Beesley, Michael Brown, Carden, Carey.
