Yeovil 0-1 Chester
E-mail your reaction to Football Talk A first-half strike from Mark Beesley secured three points for Chester. Yeovil nearly opened the scoring after just eight minutes when Lee Johnson unleashed a 20-yard shot which tested goalkeeper Wayne Brown. But it was Chester who stole the lead after 21 minutes when Beesley met a Jimmy Haarhoff cross to score from six yards. Nick Crittenden had a chance to equalise just before the break but his 20-yard shot went just wide. Yeovil dominated the second half as they went in search of the equaliser and Brown foiled both Crittenden, who came close after 66 minutes.
