Scarborough 2-5 Leigh
E-mail your reaction to Football Talk Leigh heaped more misery on rock-bottom Scarborough with a convincing win at the McCain Stadium. RMI dominated with Tony Black forcing a good save out of Paul Newton before the home keeper fumbled an Andy Heald cross into his own net after nine minutes. The visitors doubled their lead just three minutes later when Dino Maamria scored from the spot after being fouled by Aron Wilford. Ian Monk then added a third with a fierce shot eight minutes before the break. Scarborough pulled one back before half-time when Steve Brodie turned home a Mark Swales cross but Black killed off any hopes of a comeback four minutes after the break. Stuart Elliott grabbed another for Scarborough after 70 minutes and Maamria wrapped up proceedings in the last minute.
