Northwich 1-2 Farnborough
E-mail your reaction to Football Talk Joff Vansittart grabbed the decisive goal as Farnborough took three points from their visit to Northwich. The former Dover striker headed home in the 60th-minute from a superb Michael Warner cross. The goal doubled the visitors' advantage after Barry Laker had put them in front nine minutes before half time with a shot from the edge of the area. Steve Watson could have had another but mishit a shot from six yards. Northwich hit back in the closing stages and got themselves back in the game when Gregg Blundell met a Mark Barnard cross with an excellent header. Northwich pressed late on but could not find a way through and in the end were made to pay for early misses by Mark Devlin and Val Owen early.
