Doncaster 0-1 Stalybridge
E-mail your reaction to Football Talk Stalybridge picked up three vital points with victory at Doncaster. Ged Courtney helped ease the pressure on Stalybridge after he scored on the stroke of half-time. And goalkeeper Jason Batty kept them in the game by pulling off some fine saves. Stalybridge had the better of the opening chances and Richard Peacock was unlucky not to break the deadlock after eight minutes when his left-foot volley came off the woodwork. The visitors gave Doncaster a good run for their money and Courtney gave them a shock lead after picking up a cross from Ged Murphy. The second half was littered with fouls and Doncaster pushed to grab an equaliser but the Stalybridge defence held out.
