Two Jamie Vardy goals condemned Gateshead to their first league defeat of the season.

Andy Mangan opened the scoring for Fleetwood, rifling home a thunderous strike from long distance.

The home side got their second on the counter attack, Vardy slotting in Richard Brodie's cross.

Yemi Odubade's free-kick pulled one back for the Heed, but Brodie once against set up Vardy for the striker to net his second.
