Stirling Albion 3-2 Cowdenbeath
Stirling Albion continued their excellent start to the season with a deserved win at home to Cowdenbeath in the first round of the CIS Insurance Cup.

Teenage striker Alex Williams opened the scoring for the home side in the 13th minute when he converted Nicky Henderson's cross.

Cowdenbeath levelled through Keith Wilson but Williams scored his second goal on the stroke of half-time when he calmly finished following good work from Kenny McLellen.

Williams completed his hat-trick in the 56th minute when he pounced on an error from Wilson before firing home.

Veteran striker Keith Wright netted a close-range consolation for the visitors in the last minute.
