Monaco's France midfielder Ludovic Giuly has been ruled out of Euro 2004 after tearing a groin muscle in the Champions League final on Wednesday.
An MRI scan revealed the tear and French medical staff say the 27-year-old will be out for six weeks.
Giuly was substituted after 23 minutes of Monaco's 3-0 defeat by Porto in Gelsenkirchen, replaced by Dado Prso.
France begin the defence of their title against England on 13 June before facing Switzerland and Croatia.
