Munich's problems deepen
Inzaghi celebrates scoring for AC Milan
Inzaghi is in great goalscoring form for AC Milan
AC Milan beat Bayern Munich 2-1 to increase the pressure on the German club.

In-form striker Filippo Inzaghi scored both Milan goals and Bayern are now in real danger of failing to qualify for the second round of the competition.

Claudio Pizzaro scored Bayern's goal, but his team now have only one point from their opening three games.

In the other Group G match Deportivo La Coruna came from behind to beat Lens at the Riazor.

Daniel Moreira opened the scoring for the French club.

But Dutch striker Roy Makaay levelled for Deportivo after 49 minutes, while goals from Joan Capdevila and Cesar Martin ensured the Spanish team won all the points.

Bayer Leverkusen registered their first win of the campaign, beating Maccabi Haifa 2-0.

Marko Babic scored both Bayer's goal, the second a miscued cross.

But Manchester United remain on top of Group F after thrashing Olympiakos at Old Trafford.

Ryan Giggs scored twice, while Juan Seba Veron and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer also got on the scoresheet.

Javier Saviola scored once in each half to lead Barcelona to a comfortable 3-1 win over Lokomotiv Moscow in their Group F match.

Dutch striker Patrick Kluivert outsprinted the defence to beat goalkeeper Sergei Ovchinnikov from close range for Barca's third.

But Nigerian striker James Obiorah salvaged some pride for the Russians with a consolation goal in the 55th minute.

Galatasaray contested a goalless draw with Club Brugge in Istanbul.

Juventus heaped more misery on Newcastle with a 2-0 win in Turin.

Alessandro del Piero scored twice - and condemned Sir Bobby Robson's team to their third consecutive defeat.

The other two teams in Group E, Feyenoord and Dynamo Kiev, drew 0-0 in Rotterdam.
