Bayer Leverkusen 3-0 D Coruna

Bayer Leverkusen produced three second-half goals to stun Deportivo Coruna and keep alive their chances of qualifying to the knockout stages of the Champions League.

The win came just five days after being demolished 4-0 by Italian giants Juventus in Turin.

Brazilian midfielder Ze Roberto started the rout with a superb free kick from outside the area on 64 minutes.

In-form striker Oliver Neuville added a second three minutes later after collecting a fine pass from midfielder Carsten Ramelow.

The night was completed by German international Michael Ballack, who headed home a corner 11 minutes from time.

Deportivo, whose away form in the Primera Liga has been shocking in recent weeks, showed none of the form that allowed them to beat Manchester United home and away.

This result, along with Arsenal's 3-1 win over Juventus, means all four teams in Group D have three points.

Bayer Leverkusen: Butt, Zivkovic, Lucio, Nowotny, Placente, Schneider, Ramelow, Ballack, Ze Roberto, Kirsten, Neuville.

Deportivo Coruna: Molina, Hector, Donato, Naybet, Romero, Mauro Silva, Emerson, Fran, Scaloni, Valeron, Makaay.

Referee: Kyros Vassaras (Greece).
