All the action as it happened from the second legs of the Champions League quarter-finals.

Results:
Bayern Munich 2-1 Man Utd (Agg: 3-1)
Real Madrid 3-0 Galatasaray (Agg: 5-3)

19:45 Manchester United, in their all-white change kit, kick off in the Olympic Stadium.

5 mins: Bayern stun United by exploiting some poor defending on the right to take an early lead. Michael Tarnat sweeps a pacy, low cross along the edge of the six-yard box and the on-rushing Elber slams his point-blank shot into the roof of Fabien Bathez's net. The goal means the game cannot now go to extra time.

Elber scores for Bayern

7: United look shell-shocked and Bayern so nearly put the tie out of sight with another fine attacking move. Carsten Jancker rattles the visitors' crossbar with a thumping drive after good work from Mehmet Scholl.

12: Yet more Bayern pressure. This time Tarnat sets up Elber, whose goal-bound overhead kick hits Jaap Stam and bounces clear to United's relief.

13: Bayern keeper Oliver Kahn is forced to hack the ball clear after a stray back pass gives Dwight Yorke a glimpse of goal.

15: Patrik Andersson does well to head clear from Ryan Giggs' cross, with Andy Cole poised to strike. From the subsequent corner, Paul Scholes goes down in the box - but the referee rightly waves away the United penalty appeals.

15: Real Madrid put themselves in pole position for the semi-finals, as Raul levels the scores on aggregate. The away goals rule means the advantage is now with the Spaniards.
Real Madrid 1-0 Galatasaray (Agg: 3-3)

17: Jancker has a glorious chance to put Bayern 3-0 ahead after Wes Brown hesitates to let him in. But Barthez stands his ground and saves Jancker's weak shot.

18: Bayern keeper Oliver Kahn is knocked cold in a clash with Cole. But after a delay for treatment he is able to resume.

25: United come agonisingly close to pulling a goal back. Ryan Giggs' right-wing corner is flicked on by Roy Keane, Andy Cole prods the ball towards the net - but Mehmet Scholl clears off the line.

32: United at last manage a sustained period of pressure. Giggs flights a great cross to the unmarked Paul Scholes at the edge of the box on the right-hand side - but the England midfielder slices his volley high and wide.

34: Bayern make the first change of the night, Alexander Zickler replacing Carsten Jancker up front.

37: In Madrid, a second goal for Raul puts Real within touching distance of the last four.
Real Madrid 3-0 Galatasaray (Agg: 5-3)

39: Another hammer blow for Bayern, courtesy of a goal on the break six minutes before half-time. Jens Jeremies links with Elber on the right, United fail to clear the Brazilian's cross and Mehmet Scholl finishes at the far post. The English side now need to score at least three times to go through.
Bayern Munich 2-0 Man Utd (Agg: 2-0)

43: A free-kick to United in a dangerous position. But without Beckham's set-piece skills, there is no obvious executioner - and Stam eventually sends a tame shot well wide.

45: United have a chance to pull a goal back before the break - but Cole's shot is bundled wide by Kahn.

46: Elber spots Barthez well off his line and tries his luck with a Beckham-style 40-yard shot - but he fails to find the target.

20:30 The half-time whistle blows in Munich, with Bayern in total command of the tie.

46: Barthez saves United within seconds of the start of the second half, reacting swiftly to deny Elber, after Brown and Stam are caught napping.

48: United grab the goal at the start of the second half that their fans have been praying for. Cole flights a precise pass over the top of the Bayern defence and Ryan Giggs runs into space before lofting the ball over Kahn and into the net.

54: Scholl shoots straight at Barthez from 30 yards.

56: A clumsy challenge by Brown on Zickler on the edge of the area presents Bayern with a great free-kick opportunity. But Patrik Andersson's shot is straight at the wall.

58: Giggs tries his luck from the edge of the box - but Kahn palms the ball away at full stretch.

63: Andersson and Yorke both receive treatment following a sickening clash of heads.

65: Bayern goalscorer Elber is replaced by Santa Cruz. Yorke, still suffering from the collision with Andersson, comes off and Teddy Sheringham - one of United's heroes from the 1999 final - joins the action.

70: Kahn punches the ball clear with a spectacular dive just as Scholes waits to pounce on a ball into the box.

73: Sheringham's shot is deflected wide. From the corner Cole looks certain to score, only to crash to the floor under Sammy Kuffour's challenge. United are convinced it should be a penalty - but the referee disagrees.

77: The 1999 Champions League match-winner, super-sub Ole Gunnar Solksjaer, is brought on for Nicky Butt. Sir Alex Ferguson now has three strikers on the pitch.

78: Zickler blasts well wide after Bayern launch another quick break.

80: Scholes smacks a stunning right-foot volley from 20 yards out - but Kahn knocks the ball over the bar with a double-handed save. The ball falls to Sheringham from the corner, but he fails to keep the ball down from just six yards out.

82: An excellent Bayern move ends with Mehmet Scholl tormenting Wes Brown before shooting just past the far post.

84: The referee ignores strong Bayern claims for a penalty after Mikael Silvestre seems to bring down Zickler, after he is sent clear by a brilliant pass from fellow substitute Santa Cruz. United make a third substitution, with Luke Chadwick brought on for Brown.

86: A great run by Chadwick on the right-hand side of the area comes to nothing as Bayern hack the ball clear.

87: Paulo Sergio, the goalscorer at Old Trafford, replaces Mehmet Scholl.

90: Giggs creates a good chance for Sheringham right at the death - but he hits his volley into the ground and over the bar.

92: Unrelenting pressure on the Bayern goal - but Cole shoots straight at a defender, Kahn saves from Scholes and Cole heads wide.

94: The final whistle is blown - and United crash out of the Champions League at the quarter-final stage for the second year running.
