O'Leary's delight at late winner
![]() Ian Harte celebrates his superb equaliser
Leeds manager David O'Leary was thrilled with a second-half recovery that gave Leeds a vital victory at home to Anderlecht.
Ian Harte and Lee Bowyer scored the goals in a 2-1 win that takes the Elland Road side to six points, and second place, in Group D. "I'd like to think I've got the magic touch for this competition," said O'Leary. "I'm delighted with six points out of nine and long may the adventure continue, but I'm certainly not allowing myself to think about the quarter-finals.
"They are a good side and I didn't think there was much in this game overall, so I'm happy to beat them, particularly as at the time they scored their goal, we were having all the pressure. "I suppose we were a bit shocked - the crowd were as well - but we got our momentum going again. "The spark came from a wonderful free-kick by Ian - it was inspirational." Great position Harte himself was just pleased to see one of his set-pieces finally find the net. "It was nice to score with a free-kick because not many have gone in for me this season," he explained. "We play them again next week, so it was vital to make sure we got maximum points from the home game. "We have achieved that now, so if we can go over there and get a result, it would put us in a great position."
