Group 6: Mali v Seychelles

Mali coach Christian Dalger has named 17 European-based players for the crunch match against surprise group joint-leaders Seychelles.

African Nations Cup semi-finalists back in March, Mali face an uphill battle to stay alive in the competition after losing their opening group game Zimbabwe.

Coach Dalger is also set to give English-based striker Mamady Sidibe of Gillingham his first international cap.

Mali also welcome back Strasbourg's Mamadou Bagayoko, who missed the match in Harare.

Seychelles are in confident mood after winning their group opener against Eritrea 1-0.

A win or a draw for in Bamako, would give the Seychelles a good chance of disputing an automatic qualification spot in Group Six.

In Dominique Bathenay the Seychelles have a wily coach with World Cup experience with France.

Bathenay will be aware that Mali will be seething after their opening defeat and fired up to get a good result against his side.

Chris Dawson, who plays for Malaysian side Kuala Lumpur, will join the rest of the squad in Paris.

The Seychelles have never qualified for the finals, but could retain top spot in the group with a win.
