Tebily's injury blow
Olivier Tebily
Tebily played on withou knowing he was injured
Olivier Tebily faces three months on the sidelines after rupturing a medial knee ligament.

Ivory Coast international Tebily sustained the injury 20 minutes into Birmingham's draw with Charlton but was oblivious to the problem and played on for the rest of the game.

"He will have an operation on Friday to repair it but you are talking of him missing for three months," said Blues boss Steve Bruce.

Bruce has endured several defensive headaches because of injuries to his players and Steve Vickers is set for another spell out of action.

Vickers was injured following the challenge which saw Everton's Wayne Rooney sent off.

Bruce added: "Steve Vickers must be shaking his head because it seems to be one thing after another.

"He had knee surgery, then came back and broke his ribs and now he will be out for another two to three weeks.

"He has got a horrible gash in his ankle which required eight stitches.

"It's a big blow because his experience would have been vital to us for the forthcoming period."
