Charleroi swoop for Sama
Sama (left) will join two other Sierra Leoneans
Sierra Leone defender Mustapha 'Pasaffa' Sama has been signed by Belgian first division club Charleroi from Swedish side FK Haugesund. Speaking exclusively to BBC Online, Sama said that he has signed three-year contract with Charleroi and he was looking forward to the move. "I am delighted that I have made the move and I will try my best to win a first team place at Charleroi," Sama said. "I was voted the best player of my team in the just concluded season as I scored five goals," he added. Sama's move to the Belgian club has increased the number of Sierra Leoneans in the club to three. The other two are Ibrahim 'Obrey' Kargbo and Asluspha Brewa. Sama had also played in Algeria for JSK, in Cape Verde for Boavista and in Saudi Arabia. At international level, Sama has won many caps - including Sierra Leone's recent Nations Cup qualifying encounters with Gabon and Equatorial Guinea. |
