Zimbabwe will no longer bid to host the 2015 Women's World Cup

Zimbabwe says it is no longer interested in hosting the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup.

The country had raised eyebrows in the sporting world last moth when it announced that it would bid to host the tournament.

At that time Zimbabwean officials had acknowledged that their infrastructure was the barest minimum to stage the event.

Its decision to withdraw means that Canada are the only candidate to host the event.

Fifa will meet this week to decide the hosts of five other age-group tournaments.

Ghana, Turkey, Uzbekistan and Costa Rica are seeking hosting rights for the women's U17s in 2014.
