Malawi moved to second in Group K of the 2012 African Cup of Nations qualifiers with an emphatic 6-2 win over Chad in Blantyre on Saturday.

Two goals each from Chiukepo Msowoya Esau Kanyenda helped the Flames to the impressive victory.

The other goals for the home side were scored by Jimmy Zakazaka and Robert Ng'ambi.

The visitors got their goals through striker Ezechiel Ndouassel and France-based midfielder Marius Mbaiam.

The win takes Malawi to second place on six points as group leaders Botswana have ten points.

In the group's other game on Sunday, Tunisia, who had a horror start to the qualifying campaign, won 2-1 away in Togo.

Striker Amine Chermiti scored an 83rd minute winner to move them to within three points of the top in Group K.

Group K is the only group with five teams in the qualifiers for the tournament to be held in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.

Malawi will host Togo in their next game in March 2011.
