Anthony Annan was on target for Ghana against Mali
Matthew Amoah and Anthony Annan scored a goal each as Ghana twice came from behind to draw 2-2 with Mali on Sunday.
The Black Stars had already sealed their place at next year's World Cup in South Africa and Mali were already assured of a spot at the African Cup of Nations.
Nevertheless, Ghana coach Milovan Rajevac fielded a full strength team for the Group D game played in Kumasi.
Lassana Fane gave Mali the lead in the 24th minute, a goal which was equalised by Amoah in the 65th minute.
Mali substitute Tenema Ndiaye put Mali 2-1 ahead again shortly afterwards but then Annan made it 2-2 with six minutes to go.
The match had no bearing on who qualified for the either the World Cup or the African Cup of Nations as Ghana had already sealed top spot, they finished with 13 points.
Benin grabbed second spot in the group after they beat bottom of the table Sudan 2-1 on Saturday in Omdurman leaving Mali in third place.
