All of Caf's main competitions will be sponsored by Orange

The Confederation of African Football (Caf) has signed an eight-year contract with France-based telecommunications company Orange, who will sponsor all of its major competitions.

Caf announced on Tuesday that Orange will sponsor the Africa Cup of Nations, the African Nations Championship, the African Youth Championship, the African Champions League, the Confederation Cup and the African Super Cup.

Orange, who did not reveal contract details, sponsors the national teams of Botswana, Cameroon, Guinea, Ivory Coast and Senegal.

The deal begins with immediate effect, with Orange taking over from rival company MTN, which had a four-year deal that ended last year.
